Makes you question just how critical it is that we try to preserve a recruiting class that Butch Jones and this staff evaluated and put together.

I would have agreed with him up and until last nite.

Jones is done, and while a few players may respond to questions that way. You no longer see that on the field as a team.

Yeah. Not sure about what they're recruiting anymore. Some of these guys wouldn't find the field in mop up duty on any team in the SEC..This team needs a reset. A bowl game with anyone from this staff would be a waste of time. We're not going bowling so they should just get started now. Time is a wasting.

Players are among the worst people to ask.

I think it was Hood who said that the players wanted to play for Dooley.

Ethan Wolf could have been NFL prospect with right coaching staff and a dedication to weight room

And he's not alone.

Just a short list of guys whose NFL prospects have gone down or disappeared under Jones:

Ev Berry
North
Hurd
Byrd (playing wrong position)

Vols senior tight end Ethan Wolf didn’t seem to care about that, though.

Wolf said moments after the loss that he and his teammates want to play for Jones, and that they don’t plan on listening to anyone outside the program who claims otherwise

“I mean, half the people that talk about it don’t really … you know, they’ve never been in the situation that we’re in and don’t really know what to think about it,” said Wolf, who finished with 45 yards and one touchdown on three catches against Mizzou. “When you spend so much time with people, and they spend so much time investing in you, then you support them. Whether the public doesn’t [support them], it doesn’t matter. We’re all behind Coach Jones, and we’re gonna play for him.

“Nobody here wants to see him leave, if that’s what anybody out there thinks. We respect him as a coach, and we wish that we could do better for us and for him.”

The Vols now need to beat LSU and Vanderbilt at Neyland Stadium the next two weeks in order to guarantee bowl-eligibility.

Wolf is realizing he just wasted his entire college career on Butch Jones. One piss poor decision that will affect the rest of his life probably. He's just saving face and trying not to look like he was duped.

"Yeah, of course I wanted this. This was my plan all along." lol

Like all the people who get swindled by televangelists. They continue to give money even though they know their giving money to a theif.

This staff definitely screwed Evan Berry. He would have been amazing slot man

I saw two eye rolls last night. One was McBride after Butch talked to him coming off the field. The other was JK in the 3rd quarter on the interception. The moment the play was called and JK saw it and rolled his. I don't think the players have a lot of respect for him any more.

I don't know how anyone could watch last night and believe they're playing for ANYONE, even themselves. Sad!

Jones is the ultimate con.. He did everything to try to take your eyes off the field..
1.Goofy Slogan
2 Game Themes
3.Gimmicks

But the product was always missing something on the field.... House of card collapse

The University could have cancelled all practices, closed the dining hall and weight room, and refused to send the team to any road games- and our conference record would be the exact same. So the players don't get a say in what happens next. If you love the coach so much, you shouldn't have sucked. It really is that simple.
