I've read all of the tweets in question, and while some of them are very offensive, they don't make him a pedophile, anymore than Donald Trump's poor attempt at humor on the Access Hollywood video makes him a sexual abuser of women. This is selective outrage.

I get black/dark humor, but this surpasses that. Talking about anally raping his infant daughter as a “joke” is sick. Also, doesn’t help that he was/is friends with a convicted pedophile.

True, in a legal sense, he is yet to be convicted. But that isn't the only def of a pedophile which is best defined as a person who has a sexual attraction for children.

Now I understand that people can look at the same thing and walk away with two entirely different impressions but anyone who reviews this and doesn't classify Gunn as a pedo has a serious case of morality glaucoma.

Pedophile or not, do you think it wise for Disney, a company whose bread and butter namesake is tied to kids entertainment, should employ someone who makes such sick and disturbing comments?

There were 100 comedians that appeared in The Aristocrats. Many of whom have worked for Disney. Should they all be blackballed? These were remarks made several years ago by Gunn. Disturbing, yes, but I think that was probably his intent.

Rosanne made the comment in the present. And yes, people do get held accountable for their tweets by the collective outrage of the recently offended. Controversial statements, regardless of context or time, are now selectively frowned upon.

If Gunn is a pedophile, I think he should be tossed into the deepest darkest hole. However, these comments don't prove he is a pedophile. Do I think his tweets were in poor taste? Yes. My hunch is that they were designed to be disturbing and not to be some window into his life.

Not defending Gunn's tweets but it's not unlike what you see on either Family Guy or South Park. There was an episode of South Park many years ago that focused on kids being molested by their parents... Mr. Garrison's feelings were hurt because his dad had never molested him.. He felt left out of the sympathy everyone else was getting. To make up for it, Garrison's dad sneaks into his bedroom one night and we hear "Oh, dad! How could you?" Sure, it's twisted and not for everybody but still, it's an attempt at humor - nothing more.

Well then, he accomplished his goal. He disturbed nearly all of his current culture except (his fellow?) pedophiles and a smattering of Florida lawyers. You should be happy for him instead of chastising the culture for being disturbed, or telling us how exactly how we should be disturbed.

Do you see the attraction toward children in a sexual sense in Gunn's tweets? If Yes, you got yourself a pedophile by definition. If No, check with your spiritual optometrist, you most positively have morality glaucoma.

Your reading comprehension is lacking. My comment about southern states was made to point out that southern economies are heavily dependent upon the federal government money they receive. California is the single largest contributor to that funding. Therefore, southern economies would be hard hit by California withholding that money. You try to turn it into some condemnation of individuals from the south.

Then I questioned whether Gunn's tweets were designed to be offensive rather than indicating Gunn's preference for pedophilia and you twist that into support for a pedophile? I don't particularly care that he got fired, but I don't think his offensive tweets make him a pedophile. My point was that the outrage is selective even within the limited scope of offensive jokes about pedophilia. For the second time today, you have taken what I said and then purposely twisted its meaning. Quit. You're better than that.
