I'm not sure most people understand the difference between reporting and opinion. Honestly, the line is almost seamless, especially on the internet. People who have ever read actual newspapers, on a regular basis, probably would be more apt to understand the difference.

Older farts like us should better understand, too. But even my folks followed the "don't believe everything you read" admonition.

I guess that would explain the repeated claims around here that the media was totally wrong about Trump/Russia when the Mueller report actually confirmed most of the actual journalism.

In the end the conclusions, drawn by pundits, about what the stories meant weren’t fully supported, but the facts were mostly accurate.

At any rate this has been more of a viral video. Karem is actually a reporter for Playboy, which are his WH press credentials, but also listed as a CNN analyst.

I'm sure there's more video from the beginning of the exchange, might find out who was the bigger ass.

Not shocking that the site’s two biggest purveyors of fake ass conspiracy theories don’t understand the difference between factual reporting and opinions, analysis, and journalism.

Journalists reported that the Russians attempted to interfere in the election (confirmed), they reported the meeting at Trump Tower (confirmed), they reported who was there and who they worked for (confirmed) they reported that Manafort passed info to Kilimnik (confirmed), they reported that Trump tried to fire Mueller (confirmed), they reported that Trump attempted to have Sessions intercede in the investigation after recusal (confirmed), they reported that Don Jr. communicated with Guccifer (confirmed).

Pundits and some politicians (and significant numbers of the public) took that information, looked at Trump’s behavior, and offered prognostication in varying levels of hysteria, that the Trump campaign was involved in the attempts by the Russians. This could not be proven.
