First link, I got bombarded with pop-ups and spam, makes me think the whole story is less than credible.

The second article does nothing to support anything relative, unless you believe the first story.

Trump now says that he feels sorry for Acosta over the negative attention that he is receiving over his handling of the Epstein case. He makes no mention of the fact that Acosta broke the law by not informing Epstein's victims of the plea deal before it was entered in court. There is no excuse for that. Acosta was an experienced prosecutor of sex crimes, he knew the law and he chose to break it.

Trump also claims that he was "not a fan" of Epstein. That is classic Trumpian historical revisionism. And he really needs to learn some new phrases. He has overused "not a fan" .... everything from the Vietnam War to the Fed, learn some new words, Donald.

One is a legit story about an NYPD chief that committed suicide. The other is supposedly quoting unnamed sources inside the NYPD. Sorry, it fails the smell test.

That usually passes the smell test for CNN, MSNBC, and NY Times doesn't it? They've quoted numerous unnamed sources in their reporting on Trump.
