Pig Howard dismissed from team...

We all know you are one of the most negative guys on here. You are a great of example of someone that tries to place blame on CBJ at every turn. You should be embarrassed for this post. Booting PIG off a roster that's already struggling for WR play is the last thing coach wanted to do in all probability. Comments like this make me shake my head. If CBJ is part of the problem then you should look in the mirror as someone that claims to be a fan!

There is truth to this. The last thing a coach wants to do is kick a player off the team who has been a contributor to a position group that is decimated by injuries and struggling.

It appears to me that any problems in the program are being caused by the Dooley remnants. At least next year they all will be gone.

I also think Butch sees how much Howard is struggling on a personal level as one poster alluded to. The is why Butch gave Howard every opportunity to remain part of this team.

Butch gave this kid way more chances that he deserved....

I liked Pig's game and wish we had him on the field! He had chances to change his behavior and chose not to do so.... I'm not his judge, so I won't act as such. He knew the consequences and chose what he found more important/enjoyable.

Oh lord. Here we go again. He hasn't done jack squat for this program all season. He clearly has some attitude issues. If he is disgruntled at anyone it's probably WR Coach for sucking so bad, and DeBord. But most of all he is the one that broke team rules so he needs to be a big boy and get over it. Running his mouth on twitter like a woman isn't the answer.

You do not know what the **** you are talking about. You can sit there and blame blame blame all you want but you don't know what this kid is going through. You are not only insulting a former member of this team that gave his all despite facing such adversity, but you are insulting my friend. Watch what you say and stop being vindictive. Please don't ever post again. Your thoughts are completely incorrect and no one wants to hear them,

Read my post on page 5 to get some insight. Everything is not black and white. He didn't just say "f*** it" and gave up. As a father, I would hope you can understand that kids face much bigger problems than "coach doesn't like me" which isn't even true.

Edit: to be honest, I'm angry at the way some of you react to these things. You guys act like it's these players sole purpose in life to win games and make you feel better about your team. Guess what, they are humans facing human problems. This goes far beyond his football life, and you guys need to stop going on a witch hunt everyone something bad happens. There are things more important in life than football, and if you don't see that, I feel very sorry for you.

Ultimately, whatever the reason, you can self medicate with illegal drugs. I hope his life and pain gets resolved, but it's on him.

Pig will be a great slot receiver in the PROs...........you watch

But really, I don't think Butch ever cared for or liked Pig, as Butch likes "Choir Boy" type players, the ones who are like ROBOTs like he is on the sidelines.........but I have always said you cant win championships unless you have those talented "knucklehead" type players.......like bobby bowden always said "there are different rules for different players.........ala sabastian janokowski, when he was suspended and they asked Bowden, "will he get to play in the bowl game and Bowden said, "yes, cause everybody can't kick a ball 70 yards"............... now that is CLASSIC

As a father, I expect my kids to follow the rules of any group they chose to be a part of.

The reasons for Alton's decision pale in comparison to his actions.

I believe in him, though. Bet we see him on Sundays tearing it up from the slot position.

Was this for smoking pot? God I hope not. Out here in Lotusland, nobody gives a sh#$ anymore about that stuff. And for good reason.

He v iolated rules for his well being?

I'm not an advocate for pot or any illegal drug use, but if he's in chronic (yeah, I used that word) pain and/or having migraines all the time due to his concussion, then if smoking weed actually is the only thing that takes that pain away, isn't that helping his well being?

When it reaches that point, it is likely a university call. It is at other schools anyway.

Sounded like that was the case. Butch's comment was that he was informed about it which would led me to think the move was made by someone else.

Big man has it all figured out. I really hope your kids don't come to you with a big problem they're facing if this is what they're going to get. Good luck to you McKnowitall

Lol. You can't even answer a simple question.
