I had no problem with the AD putting his job on the line after the second BAD year in 4 years, and if he had a quality coach wink at him and taken a shot that would be OK. But to go into the blind search mode after CPF’s first bad year was followed by one 9 and one ten win season is unacceptable. Kiffin was embarrassing as his choice to lead our program and we paid the price bigtime. Those are facts too. The rest is pure speculation. Inept AD’s get you into bad spots. Even when their hearts are in the right place. If our coach had been allowed to remain and rebuild this thing, which I have no doubt he would have, the last fifteen years would have been a lot more enjoyable…. And might even have had another crystal football to talk about.
What makes you so confident he could rebuild the program. He had no experience as a HC in rebuilding a program. It's one of the reasons none of the big schools courted him after he was firedIf our coach had been allowed to remain and rebuild this thing, which I have no doubt he would have, the last fifteen years would have been a lot more enjoyable…. In the end he didn't own Vanderbilt but you are too ignorant to know .You are the one making dumb @&& comments Actually I am very confident in my intelligence. I agree Pruitt was a bad hire , but CPF gave a lot to us during his tenure . He didn’t hire Kiffin, Dooley, or Jones He did win 2 SEC CHAMPIONSHIPS AND A National Championship. Consistently won 10 to 11 games a year. 11-5 against Bama and owned Georgia . Sorry I hurt your feelings
What have you ever contributed besides sarcasm and vileHappy Birthday.
I'm just happy he will never again have anything to do with Tennessee football. He rode it into the ground as HC, then came BACK and nearly sank it as AD.
We have more than paid Fulmer for his services.
Happy Birthday, now go away.
To be fair, when asked about coaching again, he stated that “it has to be the right situation”. I think we all knew that meant an already winning or established program. What makes you so confident he could rebuild the program. He had no experience as a HC in rebuilding a program. Schumaker did the most damage and it’s being felt to this day. His grandiose plan of turning us into an Ivy League type school has come through. When Joe Johnson was there, he had a philosophy that any child from Tennessee that wanted to attend the University could; regardless.what that meant was a program that was committed to the football program from the top down, President to the AD. Hamilton and those above him had changed their positions after Dickey / Joe Johnson left. The administration did not help the football program as the previous one did and in fact did things that damaged it. Money for staff and educational help for athletes were diminished. as examples.
