Oh no, not FACTS! Everyone likes to blame Clawson on Fulmer's demise but I don't belive it at all. I think it was Phil's meddling coupled with a lack of talented players and/or a failure to develop those players. Phil had also lost complete control/confidence of the team evidenced by how the players were undisciplined on the sidelines during gametime. A blind man could see that.

You're right. We can't hope to compete with Auburn. Guess that's why we were murdered by South Carolina before losing to Wyoming. I wish we could have recruited someone better than Peyton Manning so we could beat Memphis.

It would cost $1.355 mill per year just to cover Fulmer's meal expenses. Can't afford to pay him not to coach and then to milk us some more as an AD

It takes some dumb SOB's to ask for that kind of punishment.

If you thought that the fan base was divided before the fat one was fired in 2008, just wait and see of he is hired as UTAD. The fan base will split WIDE and maybe never unite. I will never give one thin dime to UT ever again if it happens. Show your gold.

I really get tired of having to say this, but Johnny Majors was his own worst enemy. Phil did not backstab Majors, JD Special Reserve did that. At the height of the early'90's recession, he was running around telling anybody that would listen how underpaid and underappreciated he was. Remember, this was when UTK was laying off teachers left and right. If anything, Fulmer's positive attitude got him the job.

Know the facts before you post. And, no, I don't believe hiring Fulmer is the way to go with the AD situation.

The University deserves more than the Skoal Patrol.

I saw where some players were advocating for Fulmer to come in and heal/reunite UT.

Wasn't it that very thing that Fulmer cited as an impetus for leaving in his farewell press conference? His "Aw Shucks" routine on ESPN ain't getting it either.

Anyone swallowing that tripe should have their head examined.
