Phil is gone

I can't stand that nobody is giving the blame where it is due. Everyone on this football team thinks its someone else. Crompton is terrible and we should give someone else a try. Surely they could complete a few passes past 5 yards. Foster is pretty bad too.

are you kidding me
Fulmer will let Clawson go first, and he should

the TEAM, including the offense. HE makes the decisions. The buck stops with him. He could have changed QBs. Did he?? NO! He could have gone for a first on 4th and 2--as Tubberville and 80 percent of the coaches in America would have done. Did he? NOOOO!!! He's a loser and has been for seven years. The guy can't get out of way anymore. Anybody who thinks that Fulmer is not the problem should seek psychiatric help.

I tell you what, at this point, I really don't care what happens with Fulmer, but the coaches did everything they could to be successful with Crompton this game.

Crompton is terrible--just terrible!!

Did you see Clawson, just say "WOW" after a couple of those throws?

They didn't do everything, I am sure Crompton would have been a better than adequate towel boy.

This is ridiculous. I don't even wear orange anymore till either fulmer is gone or he gets the stones to take a chance and play someone who might make a freakin play.

How do you not go for it at least one time on fourth down when on their side of the field. I really fell bad for our defense. Misses a few tackles but has played well enough to be undefeated with a high school offense.

For those wanting Fulmer gone, Crompton should be your best ally. The longer he plays, the less chance of UT winning. We are going only backwards with JC at QB.

I don't want us to lose, just to get CPF out of there. Crompton is the reason we are losing...plain and simple. Its on CPF to bench him...if he doesn't, then lets talk about his head.

He will only be gone if people stop putting their butts in the seats and making donations. He is a dangleberry that is impossible to shake off.

Don't worry Phil Foolmer will get fired or resign. There is no way the University will put up with this. They will lose more money by not firing him. If they don't get rid of him they will lose 25%-%50 of the donations and fans.

It's not so much the losses against Fla. It's the humiliating a$$ beating they give Vols. Phil should be fired for that alone.

If you watch his press conference from this week on the Knoxville newspaper website, he's actually pulling out the "you guys who boo us probably never played football" card. That's always like the last resort in excuse-land.

Tenn. should have won today. Aren't we all sick and tired of "almost"???

Man, I don't know what to say. This is not good.

Come on people. You can't blame Clawson in the least. He has Crompton to work with for Christ's sake! His performance was so bad today that Auburn knew he couldn't even complete a 4 yard pass to someone right in front of him. All they had to do was stack the box and no matter what kind of play is called we are screwed. We have absolutely no idea if Clawson's offense works or not.

You people that think this game will get Fulmer fired are hilarious. You should start a stand up comedy routine.

Please, Clawson called some horrific plays today.

The problem with Phil is that he is too pigheaded and will want to try to right the ship doing it HIS WAY. I guarantee you that he won't step down. It's gonna take Hamilton firing Phil, or giving him a "promotion" to get him off of the sidelines.

I agree that he has to go now, as does Crompton. Chavis is on the bubble. I will give him this, he had his defense ready to play today, albeit that it was against the great Auburn offense.

When you have a QB that either throws the ball at the receivers shoelaces or at the people in the first row, I have a problem blaming the coaching staff. Yes, you can say pull him, which they should have done, but I think loyalty to a kid who was deemed the starter pretty much after Ainge left is whats keeping them from doing so. The other 2 have little game experience. You can call the right plays on offense all day but when your QB aint doing the job, even I know that putting 8 guys in the box on D is smart because he aint gonna complete a pass on ya. I do hope, though, that they have Stephens work more with the first string offense and start him against NIU. We will (god, i hope) win that game and starting Stephens against them will give him good playing time.

I guess my point is, IT IS on the coaching staff not playing a new QB to create chances but ITS NOT on them for calling the right plays and the O just not executing them (coaching staff inst the ones who dont throw it to wide open receivers).
