PFF grade on the secondary is

I thought the secondary looked fantastic. Still a couple miscommunications, one leading to the deep ball. Outside of that, they were really good. Pass rush definitely helped on that front as well.
My only complaint is not stopping Bothwell more. Need to get better at run defense but also that's a testament to how good he is. Great pickup by State

Their highest against a P4 since Iowa (and let's he honest, you and I could start in the secondary vs Iowa and look good).

Outside of the busted coverage near the end of regulation, the secondary played well. That and the weird play in OT where the intended target was missed by the QB but it just happened to hit another WR in the hands.

We’re obviously short a few pieces. Coordinators know it too. Guys are straining w the hope for a tackle for loss. We don’t have that dead weight in front anymore.

The experience that Redmond is getting this year is so so so valuable.
Did you see how close he was to ending OT n that play that for them to the 5 with a pick?

BTW check the replay and the spot after the ref dropped his left foot closer to the 6.

Oddly enough I thought the defense did well. Several stupid turnovers gave State short fields. Lebby is also a good coach. Good win for the Big Orange.
People that trash the defense don’t want to acknowledge short field scores, sacks and pick 6’s they try to discount them.

I acknowledge those things were good and a positive, but Bothwell gashed us over and over. Definitely a problem to correct.
