Peyton's Status in Indy

I am a Colts fan because of Manning.

Without Peyton, I could care less about the Colts, probably like a heck of alot of Colts/Peyton fans.

Irsay may find that out the hard way. JMO

+1. They are in for a rude awakening if/when they cut Manning. I will wish the worst for that team and they will lose many followers.

Now there's a thought I hadn't considered! Not sure there is any aligence (sp) between the players once they go pro..............but, that would be be neat to see and, probably a good recruiting tool.

This is a very solid point and it goes both ways as well. Where I live in East Central Indiana I literally see as much or more Vols apparel than any other college. The majority of the folks I've approached in their UT gear admit it's b/c of PM being a colt. That and IU doesn't play football and it's just plum nauseating to think about being an OSU fan.

as long as bud adams is owner and got his nose in every deal Titans are 1) not going to spend big money on a player ( Chris Johnson was exception didnt see them giving him the money) 2) not going to super bowl

Bud Adams wouldnt put up the money for peyton to come here just not going to happen.. would love to see it though

Archie played for Bud Adams and he probably would advise against it anyways.

That's actually the GM reinfeldt and the rest of the FO and their policy

Bud Adams finally quit micromanaging the team back around the time they left Houston (to play a year in Memphis)

i wouldn't rule out the jags.

they are team with the salary cap room to pay manning. in addition, they have a new owner that is probably going to try to make a splash in some way to put life into the franchise and put rear ends in the seats. sort of like the marlins spending a bunch of cash to take advantage of the new stadium.

i know it sounds crazy and peyton probably wouldn't want to go there, but if they could acquire some wr's to go with MJD and mercedes lewis, they could be pretty good as the defense is pretty good.

just a thought.

retirement

No. Released unless he's 100% healthy and can prove it though a extensive physical. Irsay has to decide to pay him his 28 million bonus before March 13th and from what Peyton has said in his tidbits of rehabbing he's not quite there and I seriously doubt he will be by then.

His options- Chiefs,Dolphins,Jacksonville which I doubt,New York being Sanchez needs a fire lit under his a*#! Tennessee:p stay in the division and play Indy. Minnesota and stay in a dome.

2nd option- The booth. I'm sure MNF and ESPN wouldn't care to kick jaws out and put him in with Gruden and Tirico. Or possibly CBS or FOX.

3rd- Coaching and i'm leaving it at that.

4th option and the worst imo, staying home. Which who could be mad at the man for that?:birgits_giggle:

This is why I love college football because eonomics do not determine where someone plays. There is no Colts without Peyton - I hope it doesn't happen!

this has nothing to do with economics, its just mannings injury, and 1st overfall pick and andrew being there, and why haver 2 high paid qbs on same team, makes no sense.

Thank you and Peyton already said while back if Irsay was to draft Luck he deserves to start just as he did in 98

If peyton leaves, i would like for him to go to a team with a good D. the Colt D have probably cost them a few trips to the superbowl. peyton should have at least 2 rings.

lol,the colts d didnt throw an in t to portere in superbowl against no,cmon, dude.the colts defense was lot of reason they won so many games that decade, lets see sanders, freeney, mathis, brackett, etc, those top defenders in league, dang, indy had best d position men there was.
