He was a 4* and the #8 pro style QB coming out of HS. Plenty of teams wanted him.

Peterman being #2 is the scariest thing I can think of.
experience at being horrible. I stood up for the guy. He is a great kid. But that doesn't mean he has any business being on a football field. He can't play. And if UT had to play him, it would be disastrous. Good by and good luck.

Whole bunch of dumbassery up in here. For all you toads wanting NP to transfer - think about how your statements reflect on our football program. NP was recruited to play football at UT. His game performance may have not been stellar, but when he was called upon it was in extreme conditions. How many of you keyboard warriors would have fared better? Zero is the answer. And none of you keyboard warriors have any idea of how valuable Nate has been in game preparation, relieving Justin and Josh just to take the hits in practice - to afford our defense different looks, different speed and style of play. Nate is all Vol and always will be even if he decides to transfer. Chill out on the Nate bashing.

Hope he does well in life...just don't feel safe if he's taking meaningful snaps...if that's called bashing?...so be it. Don't know why I have to be a skilled QB to feel that way.

I still believe in Peterman, and he seems to be a much better person than most everyone on this forum. The coaches would have to spend several hours planning to come up with worse situations in which to bring him along. Dobbs' running ability saved his rear on many occasions, and I am thrilled that he is making progress.

I hope Peterman stays and proves his detractors wrong. If he stays, he will see the field next year, because Dobbs will be absolutely dismembered before the season ends if he runs often.

I have zero problem with a kid who could play at another school, and decides to go where he knows he could play. QB is one of those positions where this happens a lot. Most QBs don't want to be a career back up. Clearly Peterman knows he doesn't have much of a chance with an the talent ahead of him and the influx of talent that will come in. If this rumor is true I wish him luck! Seems like a standup guy.

Uh, Jacksonville State is in Alabama, not Florida. Peterman played at Bartram Trail in Jacksonville Florida. I would imagine he would look at Florida schools. Heck he might be better than anything the Gators have on the roSter
