Our DT's were weak sauce for some time.
As much as I like Daniel Hood's aggressive attitude, just like the Sullins twins would not play on our currently much improved OL, he would not be a starting NT on a team that had players like Haynesworth and Henderson.
DT Sheldon Day Indianapolis, Indiana
Warren Central
6'2" 268
DT Jonathan Taylor Millen, Georgia
Jenkins County
6'4" 315
DT Jonathan Bullard Shelby, North Carolina
Crest
6'4" 255
DT Danny O'Brien Flint, Michigan
Powers Catholic
6'3" 278
DT Korren Kirven Lynchburg, Virginia
Brookville
6'5" 278
If we get 2 or 3 of these guys (we are in it for many more but this is somewhat of a dream group and the last two we have a very strong shot with) we will be on the way back to having the type of dominant strength at DT that only 4 teams on our schedule each year can match.
Malik Jackson and Maurice Couch should be strong this season and Hood I hope will be a capable backup. The DL should definitely be better this year than last (despite J Smith breaking a bone in his foot).
Our OL is young and very very strong.
Our secondary has some incredible depth at this point (and the best writer about sports in Byron Moore that we have ever had as a player).
Piece by piece, the staff is recruiting in the players we need to get back to a championship level we all desire.
