Per Hubbs, "lack of depth biggest concern for this team"

I didn't like the report from yesterday's practice where they said the reporters couldn't talk about injuries but there were a ton of guys missing from practice.

depth is a problem in Spring practice. When the season rolls around it will much better. There are so many potential starters and starters not practicing this spring. The real offseason though is workouts over the next three months. Getting themselves ready for the physical grind of SEC football.

After being Injury Plagued last season, can't blame for being Cautious this Spring!! Wouldn't You Be??

Don't read to much in to it! NO WAY I would have starters pounding each other right now!

The reasons for losing to teams you traditionally don't lose to are few and far between now. CBJ better make the right decision at QB, that's all I know.

Butch has had the ability to recruit more #'s than almost anyone in the last 4-5 years.

I'm not really interested in hearing about depth issues.

6 draft eligible players, 3 of which are early departures

Injuries

Attrition

Some guys haven't been what we thought they'd be.

Isn't that why we pay coaches huge salaries????? Bama does not have this issue that I am aware of. Hold the coach accountable!

Part of me wants to be pissed but honestly we are just going to have to wait and see what this team looks like on the field

This is the low period, injury wise, that is like buying a stock when the value is down. Just like strengthening your position and having it be much more when the value goes up, guys who usually don't benefit from more reps in the spring are getting them now. It can only make for a stronger team and position of depth once everyone else gets back.

Goddangit, guys, you're gonna have to stop comparing every iota of this program to Alabama.

Saban is a once-in-a-generation coach, and if he were here, we'd probably be close to having their success. But then again, if a bullfrog had wings, his ass wouldn't drag on the ground. Let it go.........

and Bama is not the measuring stick we, or anyone else, should be using.

and yes, that's why we pay millions for head coaches and staffs.

the depth thing was understandable at first but its year 5 and hes had time. theres always excuses with this staff.

excuse or reality? truth be know, it's both.

just keep in mind many of the issues surrounding the attrition, injury, recruiting and development issues were supposedly addressed with all the changes on the staff this off season.

so either those will fix it, or they won't. but it at least wasn't lost on the staff that all was not well in that regard.

and i think if you had Butch in a room behind closed doors, he'd tell you we haven't done as well as we've needed to, hence the changes.

so we'll see.

agreed. by all rights, Bama shouldn't even be able to do what they're doing. it's way over on one end of the spectrum. it's the statistical outlier....
