People jumping off theMullin train yet ?

You lose your star player and have five turnovers and only lose by 3 points against your in-state rival? Cheap shot, dude. :bad:

Mullen is a damn good classy coach.

What fool is convinced Mullen is a great coach? I mean, why is it that losing a lot at MSU is so amazing? Plenty of people have done this and will do this. Why is this desirable as a quality for a UT coach?

You, no doubt, were*** a huge CBJ supporter.

I was, yes.... Just like every other UT fan. Mine ended after Florida in 2015. When did yours?

Don't be mad when Mullen is announced as head coach next week. I'm kidding, of course, I enjoy pissing people off with the Dan Mullen talk.

Bj support ended about the same time, started when they blew a winnable Oklahoma game though..
On a 1-10 scale butch was a 3, Mullen 6 or 7, we need a 9, but if we can’t get one 8 at least

Naw man 26-30 is the overall SEC record. 13-26 is his west record.

And 14-24 was Jones’ overall SEC record. What’s your point again? Mine was that an SECw schedule is much more difficult than playing an SECe schedule, what with having to play Bama, Auburn and LSU (and OleMiss the last 5 years) every season.

Mississippi State is easily the second most difficult job in the SEC, yet there Mullen is win better than 60% of his career games. As the announcers said during the broadcast today, Mullen is widely considered the second best coach in the SEC behind Saban.

The biggest signifier that you are off your rocker on Mullen is saying that he did a good job tonight against "their rival". Ole Miss sucks. They have an interim coach and were below .500 before tonight's game. Their wins are against South Alabama, UT-Martin, Louisiana-Lafayette, Kentucky, Vandy...........and Mississippi State.

Spare me this loser logic. In fact, if you spout this stuff, log off and never log in. You are, and have been, supporting the problem we've had at UT for a decade by supporting and defending mediocrity and worse. I'm over it.

Last time I checked 13-26 is worse? And let’s not forget about the 26-30 record that includes losses to cream puffs and some sec east schools as well. I’m not saying Mullen is bad. I’m saying he is not good enough for Tennessee.

Dude was missing his starting QB and only lost by 3.

I do hope we aim higher if possible.

never on it and hope everyone else sees this too or really Currie the only one that matters now!

No, you are saying Mullen is bad while not factoring in the relevant circumstances. The only SEC job that is worse and harder to win at than Vanderbilt is Miss State, that’s a fact.

You don’t think he’s the right guy for Tennessee, that’s fine, I’m not sure he is either. But to say that he’s done a worse job at Miss State than Jones did at Tennessee is borderline insane imo.

I was never really on it but I do think he's who we'll wind up with and I don't feel as good about it as I did a few hours ago.

I keep trying to tell myself that's it's due to Fitzgerald getting hurt but it's not making me feel any better.

I never said he was better than Jones. Jones was the dumbest hire ever. I’d literally take any coach over Jones.

If this is what y’all want so be it.

I keep what your saying but the only reason there isn't a dozen coaches in the SEC over the last decade with worse records in ranked match ups (Jones and Dooley for instance) is because they were so scarcely ranked themselves.

I know you didn’t say he was better than Jones, you said he was worse based on their respective SEC records.

I’ve only said that having to play in the hardest division in college football the last decade, as compared to playing in an historically bad East the last 5 years, makes for an apples to oranges comparison. All SEC records are not created equal.
