Not sure if anyone else out there went to the Bama, er, I mean SEC network last night and watched any of the coverage of the game with Mr. Finebaaaum, but it was just pure classic to hear how he took the loss.

It amazes me how much he and other Bama fans think the SEC revolves around them. Finebaum's reaction to the big bad SEC West losing practically all bowl season, especially the tide, was that it hurts the "SEC psyche". What a load. He doesn't quite understand that not all SEC schools want bama and the others in the west to be constant powerhouses.

College football is a game of cycles. The tides cycle is down this year...and hopefully it will continue.

Personally, if we win today, my psyche will feel just fine, especially seeing that bama is reeling from the unthinkable...losing!

No kidding!

It's funny how many on here think UT is trending upward because they finally made it to a bowl game but Bama is down because they lost a national semi-final game.

Only on Volnation!

Emergency Rooms across Middle Tennessee were flooded last night with ankle and knee injuries from all the bammer posers jumping off the bandwagon.

I like change. I especially like the change when UT is winning and beating Bama. IMO the SEC is getting cocky, the SEC west beat themselves up, the SEC Network is the Bama network, and I am ready for a change. Paul Finebaum can be a jerk and most of the people who call in to his show give the folks down south a bad rep. Go Big Orange and beat Iowa!

So they set the school record for yardage in a season and he's taking them down? Don't let your hatred blind you.

That is what he does.. he blinds you with some stat to make you think he is good.

And then when the big game is on the line.. instead of his beast RB who is averaging 8 million YPC.. he goes pass pass pass pass.. and loses you a game you should have won easily...

The Kiffin curse..

I wish we could have a cursed OC who put up 35 against a D that shut out Wisconsin in their previous game.

if winning 10-12 games a year is down. then please let us have a few down years.

Point taken...10 or 11 wins in the year isn't "down", but at the same time, they aren't the same team they were a couple of years ago, and a lot of teams are gaining ground on them...not just outside of the SEC. They will continue to be strong, no doubt, but I don't think they will be dominant as a few years ago. They also have looked very beatable several times this year, and that, in my opinion, is down from where they were a few years back.

The point of the post actually was about how Finebaum feels the whole SEC psyche revolves around them winning...or even an SEC team winning it all. It doesn't.

But, hey...take it how you wish. As stated...it is Volnation, after all.

In fairness to the original comment I don't think Bama's D was nearly as dominant as previous years and it showed.
