He never said anything along those lines, he actually was dismissive of Tennessee and predicted a blowout from OU. This year, things have changed. We have just as good of a chance to win Saturday as you guys do, and for the first time in a long time, we're showing confidence in our ability to win a game of this caliber.

Guess Matich will find out Saturday. As if the boys aren't motivated enough with all the bulletin board material from OU, most, if not all, the media is picking OU to win too. Cannot wait to be in Neyland Saturday.

I tried to watch it. Made it through like 10 minutes. I look at him, hear him speak and I just don't get it. Now if you know me I have a very low threshold for dumb.

I'm pretty sure no reasonable fan picked UT to win last year much less sports talk people (including Finebaum). We are just starting to reach the point that we can realistically think we can win a game like this weekend. So without some link to prove your point I will just say that I don't believe you. (I'm on mobile so can't cue the anchorman gif)

No he did not. I know because I called into the show and spoke to him about it. As a matter of fact he said just the opposite in that UT would lose handily.

Yep. I called in that week too. He was extremely definite that UT would lose to OK and I was too. So what we discussed was what the Vols would learn from that loss and apply to subsequent games.

I tried to call in and defend Carson by saying georgia couldn't win a championship with Moreno , green and stafford on the same team so what more do they need . I got dismissed by the people taking calls

I'm not defending a sooner... But..finebaum is absolutely horrible for picking a team, then discrediting them, picking them again, then saying there would be some other reason they would win/lose.

I don't take anything he says to heart. He's just making a living.

I like Paul Finebaum.. don't watch his show.. but the man is pretty level headed and makes mostly logical points and stays very consistent. haters gone hate..or something along those lines
