At first, maybe not. But he established himself!
Then, there was fear and you'd be ignorant not to acknowledge that! Caprice?
Holy crap dude. Why do you think I brought up Saban in the first damn place if it wasn't because he gets respect now. Sometimes I think there should be an IQ check to post.

I listen to Finebaum on xm and I like hearing his opinion on topics, but when his "callers" are the majority of the show then I don't listen as much. I'm sure some of those callers are set up calls to get the emotions of other callers raised. I do get tired of the cam newton, alabama vs. auburn calls everyday. If he speaks on a topic that is other than these then I listen. I don't hear him rip on TN everyday. I hear him say that TN is going to be average for awhile and he isn't sure that CD is the answer. He doesn't talk about TN that much and usually changes the subject quickly when they do come up in conversation.

I believe what he was saying is that Leach has beaten somebody. therefore in the public perception Leach is a better coach. Time will tell with Dooley. I'm glad we got Dooley. I think Dooley's character will make him a better fit along with winning.

^ THIS :good!:

He use to call Bama out and will call who ever out. Thats why everybody hates him, I listen 3-4 times a week. I know he always says good things about Dooley, but HONESTLY who lost sleep?? GO VOLS!!! :)

I hardly ever listen to this clown but its for sure he tries to down Tn ever chance he gets.
A guy from Tn called in today talking about what if Tn had hired Mike Leach instead of Dooley.
Finebaum went on to say Leach would of made a couple of other coaches lose some sleep vs Dooley doesnt make any coach lose sleep.
Why does Finebaum hate Tn so much ?Is it because his head looks like its been circumcised ?

because Clay Travis, makes his audience look like idiots when he calls in

My IQ at the age of 13, was around 96 I think, my IQ At age 24, was 117.... Now, if you take 117 and minus it by 3hrs of 7+brews. That's 2&3/4 brew per hr. Give or take, depending on how far in you are on that 7th brew.... At any rate, by about 4:30 tomarrow I hope to be back to Atleast 112:)

I was responding to the topic of this thread in general and the post above yours specifically regarding nobody being afraid of Dooley on the sidelines. My point is pretty obvious in that nobody was afraid of Saban either when he started at MSU in '95. People wanting to judge Dooley after one year as a head coach is ludicrous. Saban lost his first three minor bowl games by double digits after barely having a .500 season each year. I guess my point is give the man three or four years to see what he can do.

I partially agree. Yes, it's ludicrous to judge Dooley after just one year. But unlike Saban, Dooley won't have the luxury to have 3 mediocre seasons (with no more than 7 wins each) while keeping his job. Dooley is running one of the winningest programs in the country (9th in both all-time wins and win% among FBS programs), while Michigan State ranks 33rd and 25th respectively. Dooley has to start winning, and start winning quickly.

My I4 went dead on me, sorry for the late response but, at the end of the day, we're both Vol fans! That's it. I think a lot of us, (me included) wear our heart's on our sleeves, and we all have an idea of how we think this "great" program should be run... While none of us are qualified for the job! I'm really pulling for Dooley, I hope he's the right man for the job..............

Getting a new AD should make things even more interesting in evaluating Dooley's performance and his longevity.

slimebaum has some writer or reporter talking about Bear Bryant every other day. I've listened to him a couple of times, all he does is pits the ignorant auburn fans against the ignorant bama fans and that makes him a lot of money.

it reminds me of how obama plays to his ignorant base.

Finebaum plays to the Bammers always has. Perception of Dooley from most outsiders is filler and that's about it. I'm not sure there are too many people outside the Tennessee fan base and those that drink the doolaid that think he's going to be widely successful. I for one hope he proves them all wrong , but he's still getting on the job training right now and a long ways to go. Finebaum is a tool non the less.

finebaum broadcasts out of birmingham if I'm not mistaken... ...which is bama and auburn central. considering that, are you still wondering why finebaum likes to downplay the vols?

Bottomline is Dooley was a desperation hire....No doubt about it....We never even went after top or even middle of the pack coaches after Kiffin left....Hell We got turned down by the coach of Air Force among others including David Cutcliffe...Hamilton hired a coach who would provide a band aid and maybe just maybe have a small level of success here....Don't get me wrong, I like coach Dooley and I like his style and hope and pray he turns out to be the diamond We were looking for but its still way too early to tell and his recruiting isn't exactly setting the world on fire so the jury is still out...Give it a couple more years and lets see where the team is and then and there we can start making judgements if he was the right choice....P.S Finebaum sucks

Fine-bum went to UT & UAB? No wonder he's a confused twit. Someday Barbara Dooley, his favorite "guest", is going to marinate his bammer butt on the air. He's got it coming.
