If he couldn't make the depth chart, he doesn't need to be allowed to hang around and clutter up the possibilites for the future.

I wish him well and and hope that he finds a division 2 program where his abilities are appreciated! He might be a fit at McNeese State with our buddy Jackson with all his baggage.

If your not the best, we don't need you cluttering up the roster at Rocky Top. So long and good luck.

I think if it was a drug issue he would have been dismissed instead of announcing a transfer. It sounds like a mutual decision. Gribble states he was told by PM that it was a personal issue. Previous posters mentioned a child in SC, this could have become a huge factor. Not to mention many players get homesick too. My guess is he winds up at Clemson or USCe.

I wouldn't leave my babies either, for any reason. I wish him the best. Sometimes you have to play the cards life deals. If that is why he is leaving, I respect him for the decision.

It does on one hand, but the other hand looks pretty good that he has been beat out. That must mean our talent level at that position is high. While I'm not glad to hear he is leaving, I am glad to hear that we are talented enough at that position that he wasn't even in the 2 deep rotation. Says a lot for our depth. I wish him well.

Doubt they will let him go to an SEC team. Would be very surprised.

I think it depends, if CDD thinks he is overrated and wouldn't become the player he was expected to be he might. If not, he could sit out two years like BB did. PM stated he wanted to play at a major program and Clemson and USCe are the only two in SC. Not sure if this is what happens or not.

Most devastating loss I've suffered in weeks. It's been a slow August. We should probably bump it one more time and get it moved to the Endzone....

Martin announced that he's looking at the ACC, specifically Louisville, WVU and TCU, so apparently it isn't his kid or his desire to be closer to home. Sure sounds like he didn't want to stick around and not play right away. Dooley's a real honor-your-commitments kind of guy. I'm surprised he would be okay with letting Martin take up a scholly, then walk without even giving it a shot.
