As was trending earlier in the year - Preston Williams and Jalen Hurd scored more touchdowns receiving than did the University of Tennessee
18 TD's to 15

Receiving yardage was close with Williams and Hurd racking up 2291 yards and UT accounting for 2357.

Just noting that we could have used these two this year. Not sure our qb's and offensive line could have allowed them to get the ball - but they were able to get the ball to them at Baylor and Colorado State.

More like the line limitations. JG got the ball out fine. Two sacks a game after over 5 a game last year. Over 62% and 140 rating even with the limitations. We also didn't really have "playmakers" at wr. We have jump ball threats. Big and average speed with good hands.

Yep, Preston Williams is kind of a redundant player to what we already have. We really need a shifty, quick slot receiver or 2, a la Pig Howard.

There were line limitations for sure, but IMO, JG still processes the plays too slow to be an elite QB (especially with a dismal OL). I think more quick plays to get the balls in the hands of Chandler, Callaway, and Jennings in space would have taken advantage of JG's strengths as a QB and minimized the line limitations. Helton should have called games to maximize his QB's strengths and minimize the areas of his game that weren't as strong, not vice versa.....

I think lack of quick passes was a Helton thing. Then the game we ran it successfully, SC, people complained about short passes.

Not to be picky, but had Hurd stayed he would have graduated last year, so we wouldn't have had him this year. I THINK the same applies to Williams, but I'm not going to look it up.

We don't have offensive lineman that are strong and can block. Most people on here think the spread is the end all answer. Jones and company were running the spread, if you don't block that spread isn't working either. And in this league getting 270 spread O-Lineman to block big mean fast DL is a JOKE. We have to have it at the LOS or it isn't going to matter. We need good lineman and a balanced offense, we can run some spread and that is all fine as long as you make sure you can run power. You cannot finesse 100% of the time in this league. Get the big uglies upfront, get the big bodies and get in weightroom.
