From my outsider's perspective, I think Dooley is actually a good coach and great fit for Tennessee.
The injuries you guys have suffered have really diminished your chances this season but I saw a team that was scary to thin about playing earlier in the year.
The Volunteers have been hurt more by recruiting and attrition which has made your depth almost non-existent.
You guys stayed with LSU until your 1st string players got winded...LSU rotated in players without much talent dropoff and just wore you guys down...
You guys may take a few cycles of recruiting to become "Tenn of Old" again but it can happen...hell you guys are pulling in 5-star QBs now and trying to strengthen the OL talents.
Don't call for Dooley's head - you don't need that uncertainty sink your recruiting again this soon...
instead be patient and know that this has to happen for the next few years in order for Rocky Top to get it's foundation strong and solid.
