Our Rivals Can Recruit Too

Yeah, Mack Brown "evaluated" beforehand that Applewhite was better than Sims??? Give me a break. If you believe this, then lets go snipe hunting.

As a college player, Applewhite was better than Simms. Don't believe me? Ask any Texas Longhorn fan the same thing.

Yeah, but they found that out AFTER they arrived at Texas. They didn't KNOW that Applewhite was better prior to their arrival on campus. Therefore, "evaluation" was wrong.

Thus eliminating your need to whine about how good someone else thinks JC Copeland and Jose Jose are.

We are in trouble in the trenches on both sides of the ball and everyone is "excited" about skilled position players. When did our fan base become similar to Kentucky's. Geesh we need to get a clue.

Jose Jose did NOT have a commitable offer from Georgia or Florida. So we really beat out the "Big Boys" for him.

Did Major Applewhite have every program in the country beating down his door? You aren't very good at this.

I would say that Applewhite had a much better college career than Simms. Simms' last name got him many places in his career. Applewhite is doing well in coaching, while Simms is still floundering around the NFL and will never be a great QB, IMO.

Exactly. Which is why creating a thread whining about Jose Jose not having an offer from Florida (even though the recruiting services this genius has treated as gospel all indicate otherwise) is insanely idiotic.

I was just offering support. :)

Same concept.

While I was proud of the 2007 team, you and everybody else knows that was one of the worst 10 win teams in the history of the program.

Somehow winning the East doesn't rise to the level of "one of the worst 10 win teams in the history of the program". Wake up.

The 11-2 2001 team was worse than the 10-3 2007 team. Why? #2 lost to a #21 in the SEC champ game and squandered what should have been 2 national titles in this decade.

Our history is that we don't win when we need to. We have a losing record in the SEC champ game. Hopefully our new coach can execute.

have to disagree. IMO the 2001 team would have demolished the 2007 version (but still wouldn't have won the NC)

Don't get your logic....did you forget the 2007 VOLS lost to FL & AL by the combinded score of 100 - 37?

You mean the team that was destroyed by California and Florida and Alabama but came within a bad pass of beating the National Champion LSU Tigers that season?....Try making some sense..10 wins is 10 wins

A little off topic but I'd LOVE to be floundering on an NFL salary.

Just saying.
