Kamara is a straight up beast on the edge though and I do wish we got to see it a little bit more but honestly how bout lets pick on something thats not working for our offense... like the pass game?

Hurd had more yards his freshman season than Coker did his entire career at UT.

If Jalen rushes for 70 yards tomorrow he beats Riggs best season at UT with 1108 yards. Behind a weaker offensive line and a game left to play. Riggs also only had 123 receiving yards in his entire career at UT. Jalens already had more than that this season.

Now I did love Hardesty and if he wasn't so injury prone he could have been a beast, but in reality he only had one good season here.

Jalens on pace to be UT's all time leading rusher at the end of his Junior season, and he has a halfway decent Oline coming back next year. Think about that for a second. Not to mention, we have the second best rushing team in the SEC. So PLEASE shut up already.

Coker got involved with drugs, he would have been great so that point is invalid. And Riggs was a better running back than Hurd. Don't ever tell me to shut up.

Lol

One of the prerequisites for being a good RB is to be on the field and to actually care. Do you have Onterrio Smith and James Banks posters on your wall based on potential?

Try again.

And majors was a better running back than Peyton but he got old so that makes your point invalid.

This is was you sound like

Tonight's "TimeShare" is PROOF that Debord actually READS VolNation in his hours before the game in the Box...

B/c it's about staying ahead of the chains in this offense since the threat of pass is low. Hurd gets the 2 or 3 tough yards even when hit behind the LOS. For Kamara, those are no-gains or losses. A lot of his yards also have come against the worst opponents. My problem is when he does enter the game against better opponents, they run him right up the middle into the strength of the D when his strengths play to the outside. For that, I have no answer. He should still get more touches though whether that's on the speed sweep or plays directed outside like the option we saw last week.

Nailed it. Kamara may get 20 yards when Hurd gets 9 yards.... But Hurd gets 3 yards when Kamara gets 0 or -1.

NOT a criticism of Kamara! But Hurd is unique and let to lots of 2nd and 7s instead of 2nd and 11s.

I think Kamara's success has a lot to do with the change of pace nature of the combo Debord is running. Kamara is super effective in the passing game as well so don't forget to add those yards to his production. Kamara may not be an every down back but he is super effective when used and Debord seems to know exactly when to get him the ball and where on the field he can exploit the D. Hurd is an every down back because of his ability to make something out of nothing, he flat out punishes Defenses and that pays dividends later in the game. We may have the best trifecta in Hurd, Kamara, and Dobbs in all of college football.
