Anyone have a link to the Oregon depth chart - I'd be interested to see how many Jr.s and Sr.s our young guys will be up against.
That is one small d-line. I'm assuming their fast, though. But still, if TN goes with a 2 TE set, why can't they run the ball on this team?
IF our inexperienced line can execute consistently we can. But if we have one player in the line miss his assignement on each play it could end up blowing up a lot of plays, not all but many of them. Coaches will tell you there are missed assignments on many plays. Some end up not hurting but many times they do. The less experience, the more frequent the busts. Busts in the OL can disrupt an entire offense more so than busts at otehr positions.
Our experience factor is the negative to the plan. We certainly want to run it. But can we do that consistently?? that is the unknown question....

A lot. They are primarily an older team-but after looking at their classes in rivals I can't find a receiver that scares me. Now, their running backs-they scare me. Their D-line does not appear to be all that big, but they seem to have fast linebackers. TN's o-line needs to suck it up, not act young and maul. All of those guys have talent-they need to let it out.
What about when we have Kenjon Barner lined up at wr and lamichael james in the back field. We have weapons all over the field and two deep in most positions. Your tennessee inexperienced bunch is going to have their hands full. Not to mention our up tempo offense will keep your tired defense on the field while we are subbing players (when needed) immediately after the play is over while the tennessee players are recovering from the previous play and trying to get back to their positions before the snap.
You can. Look at Stanford last year. They loosened them up with a few big passes and then came back and ran at them all day. I'm not saying that we are going to have the same success, but that game plan has worked. That is one small d-line. I'm assuming their fast, though. Come on. For UO the situation is difficult, not the opponent. If this game was on a neutral field you'd get your a** handed to you. You have your stadium, great. Make it work. You have a coach who has yet to prove he can win. What was his record at LT his last year, 4-8? Puh-leese. :whistling:Duck,
This is what you dont understand..we play SEC teams every year...so trying to convince us that we should be scared of a couple of players is irrelevant. We play against talent every week...its not we have never seen it before. So please stop trying to convince us that Oregon is any different.
