Anyone have a link to the Oregon depth chart - I'd be interested to see how many Jr.s and Sr.s our young guys will be up against.

A lot. They are primarily an older team-but after looking at their classes in rivals I can't find a receiver that scares me. Now, their running backs-they scare me. Their D-line does not appear to be all that big, but they seem to have fast linebackers. TN's o-line needs to suck it up, not act young and maul. All of those guys have talent-they need to let it out.

That is one small d-line. I'm assuming their fast, though. But still, if TN goes with a 2 TE set, why can't they run the ball on this team?

You won't make a living running sideline to sideline against them. Their linebackers are too fast for that. Pound it up inside and play action over the top. Getting Stocker involved and put some pine tar on his hands might help also.

IF our inexperienced line can execute consistently we can. But if we have one player in the line miss his assignement on each play it could end up blowing up a lot of plays, not all but many of them. Coaches will tell you there are missed assignments on many plays. Some end up not hurting but many times they do. The less experience, the more frequent the busts. Busts in the OL can disrupt an entire offense more so than busts at otehr positions.

Our experience factor is the negative to the plan. We certainly want to run it. But can we do that consistently?? that is the unknown question....

I believe one of the Duck fans said their DT's are mostly in the 280 range now. Those may be weights when they were recruited.

Most of our line is over 3-bills....Our guys just need to come out with an attitude. I can see Dooley giving one heck of a pregame speech. He has a lot of Saban in him, and if he has half of his intensity pregam these guys should get fired up. Come out with a meanstreak and pound it. Screw the youth-just effing hit someone and hit em hard-all game. I can see Poole hitting his truck stick a few times.

Good question. Much has been made of us having a 250 DT 'starting'. They have two of them starting and THREE of them in their two deep, acc'd to this. Have a 288lb backup.

And their kicker hits the ball lower than Lincoln. Seriously.

Edit: Newer list has them up in the 270 range. Still not huge, by any means. Ends are similar to ours, 230-245ish.

What about when we have Kenjon Barner lined up at wr and lamichael james in the back field. We have weapons all over the field and two deep in most positions. Your tennessee inexperienced bunch is going to have their hands full. Not to mention our up tempo offense will keep your tired defense on the field while we are subbing players (when needed) immediately after the play is over while the tennessee players are recovering from the previous play and trying to get back to their positions before the snap.

Duck,
This is what you dont understand..we play SEC teams every year...so trying to convince us that we should be scared of a couple of players is irrelevant. We play against talent every week...its not we have never seen it before. So please stop trying to convince us that Oregon is any different.

Our offense is more dynamic and up tempo than any sec team I have seen recently. Our Oregon team may be smaller in size but we don't lumber around and hit people, we fly to the ball faster than any team in the country. Their isn't one group of players that we have that isn't considered fast for their position. The only way Tennessee could compete with us, is to overmatch us with tremendous size and run us over. I don't see that happening.

1. Have to get first downs to keep our D on the field.
2. To get your passing attack going you need to have your inexperienced QB call plays and make adjustments in Neyland in front of 100,000+
3. You think your fast. We play against the fastest players in the country. You think Oregon has a monopoly on fast players. Get real!
4. We'll find out how fast you think you are Sat. @ 6pm.

You can. Look at Stanford last year. They loosened them up with a few big passes and then came back and ran at them all day. I'm not saying that we are going to have the same success, but that game plan has worked.

I don't see a Tebow on the Ducks. I don't see a Percy Harvin on the ducks. I don't see a Glen Dorsey, Brandon Spikes, and the list keeps on going. I think TN has seen it all when it comes to talent on both sides of the bell. Hell, if that's what your offense can do then why have they struggled vs. Wilcox with a better QB the last two years. And the inexperience of our Vols is not on defense in case you didn't know.

Come on. For UO the situation is difficult, not the opponent. If this game was on a neutral field you'd get your a** handed to you. You have your stadium, great. Make it work. You have a coach who has yet to prove he can win. What was his record at LT his last year, 4-8? Puh-leese. :whistling:

LT basically lost all their starters due to injury if you had time to research that...yet they played every ranked team down to the wire..its about coaching...What is Oregons recruiting ranking the last 4 yrs?
