Orangeslice13, a blessing to those around him…..Again

It is Rock/metal gatekeepers imo. It is so strange to me that there was a debate about black sabbath being better when Ozzy left, and Dio taking over as front man. Also, some of the same goobers will argue that Hagar was just as good or even better than Roth after his exit from VH. Both bands were still good, but nothing beats the original for the most part.
For me it’s the mentality of “I don’t like it so you’re stupid for liking it”. It’s just sad really

I may sometimes talk smack about bro country but it is just breaking balls, but I am a big fan of a wide array of music. I like at least some music from most genres from around the world. The great thing about music is simply enjoying it, no matter what others think. Even Nickleback.

There is music I cannot listen to, but I can appreciate the talent. Different strokes and all. Saying something sucks without acknowledging the obvious musicianship is stupid.

I am a huge fan of Dio and think Heaven and Hell and Mob Rules are great albums, but no way is it better than Ozzy Sabbath as long as you forget about Never Say Die and Technical Ecstasy.

Dio Sabbath>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Van Hagar.

I agree with this assessment.

side note
Rainbow in the dark is among my favorite songs

I'm more four letter word than a Sunday prayer
More a backroad than a front pew
Ain't always been tight with the man upstairs
Them scriptures, I can quote a few
She's a cross on a chain and red wine stain
On her Mamaw's hand me down Bible
I heart Tennessee John 3:16
On the bumper of a white Chevy Tahoe
She's little up there, down here
Puts a little king James in my John Deere
Thank the Lord the girls got my back
Hangs her halo by my Carhartt hat

Me too.

True story.
When RJD died it came on the radio and I said “man, I’m sad now” that same son was in the car (about 12 at the time) he said “who?” And I said “I’ve failed you as a father.

I love the metal Elf. Stargazer is among my very favorites, but Man on the Silver Mountain in particular. I love this entire Era of proto-metal goodness, Captain Beyond, Sir Lord Baltimore, Budgie, Sorcery etc... Rainbow is remembered most but so many others from that crossover moment.
