For me it’s the mentality of “I don’t like it so you’re stupid for liking it”. It’s just sad reallyIt is Rock/metal gatekeepers imo. It is so strange to me that there was a debate about black sabbath being better when Ozzy left, and Dio taking over as front man. Also, some of the same goobers will argue that Hagar was just as good or even better than Roth after his exit from VH. Both bands were still good, but nothing beats the original for the most part.

I agree with this assessment.I am a huge fan of Dio and think Heaven and Hell and Mob Rules are great albums, but no way is it better than Ozzy Sabbath as long as you forget about Never Say Die and Technical Ecstasy.
Dio Sabbath>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Van Hagar.
Me too.
True story.
When RJD died it came on the radio and I said “man, I’m sad now” that same son was in the car (about 12 at the time) he said “who?” And I said “I’ve failed you as a father.
