Wrong Exlax..... There was no premise other than a lot of Christian organizations and individuals donate time and money to the causes mentioned..... If Christianity was eliminated then said organizations and individuals would be eliminated as well......as in poof! Like from the face of the earth.
I'm sure the heathens and etc. that give money now would still continue to do so, but......

Then by all means, let's see these hypothetical people do it. There is no lack of need in the world. Call all of these generous people that are actually generous, but not really actively generous, and have them add to the support.

You show a tremendous lack of familiarity with the faith that you like to mock, and the people that you speak freely about.

I won't speak for all Christians, but I will speak for myself and the majority that I know. We are charitable, mainly because we have experienced Christ's love and want to express it. We do it because Christ gave us the great commandment to love others as He has loved us. We do it so that our Father in Heaven may be glorified.

We have no fear of Hell, nor fear that we won't make it to Heaven, since we escaped Hell based on Christ's finished work, and we'll be in Heaven because He's prepared our place there. Nothing I've ever done will get me to heaven, Praise my Savior.

I am saved by grace through faith, not of works; it is a free gift from God lest I boast.

You know... With just a little humility and an a bit of faith, all this could be yours, my friend...

I've actually read the bible and studied it.. all of it.
As a kid and teenager.. yeah I believed.. even into my 20's but then I took the bible's advice.

1 Corinthians 13:11
When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.

Your ignorance is showing yet again. Unlike many other religions, Christians know you can't get to heaven by doing good deeds. You want to help other people if you know Christ.

Who are all these people that are going to fill the void? There are many more people in the world today in desperate need of help. Where are they now?

You think that there's a Christian monopoly on charity and that others are scared away from providing charity purely because of it? Seems like a mighty big leap.

I would take it, but I don't know how to set it up. I wish Freak would fix it up for me like he did that Avi for joe. I guess I don't have the clout joe does. And so, I sit here and sadly weep. That's okay. I heard somewhere even Jesus wept once, and he is my role model even though I'm not a Christian.

Okay, so what's the solution to dealing with Muslims? I'm not sure what people are advocating? Genocide? Deportation? Isolation? What?

And jmo, you don't perform charitable acts simply because you're Christian. That's like trying to buy your way into Heaven. Charitable acts come from the heart and are done out of love. Faith should not matter.
