Open Practice Highlights

Man, I am so excited about this year for our Defense. Just think we have the potential to be something special. It will at least be in the making. Barnett almost looks faster than I remember him.

I like what I see in Kerbyson, and all I really know about Crowder is that we did poorly with him out. I know he(Crowder) got beat a couple of times last year, but still. I feel like with those 2 and Jashon all we need is one or two more lineman to step up, maybe Jack Jones and Hall or Richmond, or maybe Kendrick, and we could be ok.

Thrilled seeing Jennings and Perry make some nice catches.

GBO!!!!!!!!!!

It's not absurd because of two things.

First off, they're basing their predictions off of how good Dobbs played even with that terrible of an Offensive Line. So as long as they improve he will do even better. With Hurd a 2nd year and more experience on Dobbs you would only think our offense will play better than with what it ended last season.

But secondly, and the most important thing is, our defensive looks scary as I can remember in a long time. So no one will be scoring enough points to keep up with what dobbs can do with just an okay offensive line. 10-2 is actually very realistic if you ask me. I don't know who will be able to score enough points on us to beat us. You guys need to start thinking about more than just the one dimensional observations.

One injury away at QB from being a 5-7 team.

I don't know that our QB is going to be the soul and strength of this team like the end of last season. By all reports I'm reading it seems scoring on us is going to be very difficult. Combine that with a solid run game, and a receiving corp that was already loaded before Jennings started looking like a world beater, and I think this team is scary with or without Dobbs.

Scarier with Dobbs, of course, but scary either way.

Oh I know. I just wish on occasion, when the OL wins, they did so as convincingly.
I become torn - "wow, did you see the way K-Mac just destroyed that guy?!.... Oh... that was our guy getting destroyed". Hrrrmmmpphhh.

Just throwing this out there.. Cause I love conspiracies.. :)

Smokescreen!

I honestly don't think so, Q Dormady is a step up from Justin Worley, who I liked as a QB. I think, honestly I do, the Oline is improved from last year, with a healthy receiving group along with Jalen & Alvin, we will be OK. I think Dobbs gives us a game or two more, but you never know.. Dormady may light it up (he might be a good practice QB, but better in live action also).. This is why football is a fascinating sport.

.. But I tend to think positive until I see negative results.. I have faith in #119

I like Dobbs a lot but he still has much to prove as a pure passer. He makes a lot happen with his feet when he can't get it done through the air. His deep ball leaves a lot to be desired. Dobbs is the man for the Vols, but I would still like to see him go to the Swamp and lead the Vols to a victory before I annoint him as the second coming.
