I know that a change needed to be made at UT. As Coach Fulmer said in his press conference everyone has been disappointed in the season. Today when it came down that he was officially stepping down, it has been a kind of sad day. This man has done alot for The University of Tennessee. I am 33 years old and the only coaches I remember are Fulmer and Majors. I was a teenager when Fulmer took over. To me, Coach Fulmer has been Tennessee Football!
Hated to see the man on the brink of crying during his press conference, I know that is part of it---we all know it is over.
At the same time, there is a little excitement on what will happen over the next few weeks. We are going to hear all kinds of names about who the next coach will be. I hope to see the program take a step back to greatness. I am a Tennessee fan, just like nearly all of us on here. I want to see the program win! Hopefully we can get the football coach right on the first try by Hamilton.
I hope CPF does stay here in some capacity. This man brought the University the only National Championship I have been around to see. I think he will be right there with Neyland in the history of Tennessee Football.
Coach Fulmer, I know you will never read this...I wish you the best and would love to see you stay at the University in some capacity!!
