Break the bank and offer Kirby Smart at bama---it will take huge money plus a boatload of benefits, but he's worth it.

I don't think it would be worth it. You want someone who is going to be here more than a year. I would bet that Smart gets a HC job somewhere next year. If not he would be looking around which could hurt recruiting next year. I think CDD wants stability with his coaches and that is why he is taking his time.

Rocky Seto from USC would be a good hire. Not only is a young innovated coach, he was a huge part of USC's defensive recruiting. To have that kind of track in a state as large as Cal would be awesome. Hire Seto!!!!!

Remind us again how USC's defense fared against Pac 10 offenses this year.

It these kinds of post that remind me of the vast amount of people that know little of football that make comments to prove it. First, USC had five defensive players that went in the year prior's draft. Three ofthose went in the first round. Their defense took a huge hit. He was a first year DC that has proven himself in the USC program for many years(started when he was only 25!) Considering the situation, he did very well. Oh, and also, when you mention the PAC-10 and defenses, please note that it's very relative. PAC-10 offenses could do that to most temas in the nation.

Please no more USC coaches. While more than likely the guy has a good background recruiting and such, I'd just as soon personally stay away from USC coaches for a while.

How does my post show a lack of football knowledge? Posters that don't agree with what you have to say are not lacking in football knowledge.

I hope u all know that us having to know and creating buzz over people that might not even be a candidate to be our dc is putting pressure on these people to announce they are staying put and making this job less desireable AND making us look less desireable to recruits aswell.
