It's almost as if the Fort Sanders area doesn't exist!

lol:
I lived in the Fort during Spring 2008 (semester when it seemed like everyone got robbed):
My neighbor got shot
my other neighbor got chased by a homeless with an ice pick
my friend's car got broken into
the cops searched around, under, and a little inside of my house for a robber who they thought hid somewhere around my house.
a kid got robbed outside of my house
my friends house got broken into.
my other friend got robbed at gunpoint in his own bed
That same semester they had those dudes who got in a fight in the library or the UC and were running around campus with a gun...
PS - since that semester things have gotten a lot safer around the Fort. The cops cracked down super hard last Fall and Spring and since then things have gotten better. You certainly don't hear about people getting robbed or anything nearly as much as you used to.
Not trying to scare people or anything lol. I'm just saying, I can't imagine Atlanta being any worse for 1 weekend. Especially around New Years.
Plus my aunt and uncle live in Atlanta and I've been visiting East Atlanta every other year since I was a kid. It's always been fun and harmless. Atlanta is a very exciting, clean, and organized place. It's like a larger Charlotte or Nashville.
Just don't drive in the afternoon and you're all good.
