Mailbag: Could Alabama come after Jeremy Pruitt? Who will challenge Georgia for SEC East?

Yeah, it's still a big head scratcher for me on Vandy and Miz. I'd maybe add SC for pretty good OL performance. We're so used to sucking on OL, any improvement seems like alot.We had really 2 games last year when the OL actually performed at a good level. Kentucky and Auburn. Funny how those two games were dominant wins and the offense looked good. Was the OL better last year? If, and thats a big if, it was only marginally. We still had the worst OL in the SEC imo. I mean we got abused by Vandy and Missouri.

Charlotte lined up and beat the ever-loving ish out of our OL as well....I mean, completely dominated it and took its soul. So I’m with you BOT, if the OL was any better, it was so marginal so as not to be noticeable. We had really 2 games last year when the OL actually performed at a good level. Kentucky and Auburn. So many stats can be used to measure Oline performance. I don't see overall sacks as the only measure of performance. I think we were dead last in Oline performance when looking at RB contact behind the line of scrimmage. It would be interesting to see how many times JG was pressured as well.
Rush defense was terrible all year long in 2018, offensive linemen that are 270lbs on a good day can't open holes against even mediocre Dlines. Pass-blocking improved over the season, but was nowhere near where it will need to be to actually be considered consistently "good".
Those were dominant games but really just Kentucky. Things fell into place for UT against Auburn with plays they literally never tried to run again the rest of the year. It was a trap game for Auburn and they sh!t the bed that day. Kentucky was an old fashioned ass whooping. Sadly the offense has -11 consistency. We had really 2 games last year when the OL actually performed at a good level. Kentucky and Auburn. No. Read the article. The OL was only part of the problem. Sometimes it was RB's. And... sometimes it was JG's inability to make good reads and decisions.Oh..so in 2019 JG will only slightly get murdered by opposing teams...
UT was dominant in those two games because they were able to get big plays on 50/50 balls to the sideline. Not everyone had the personnel disadvantages or schemes for that to work.We had really 2 games last year when the OL actually performed at a good level. Kentucky and Auburn. I read the article. Like I said instead of getting full blown first degree premeditated murdered by opposing teams the minuscule improvement this year will lead to more of a 3rd degree felony manslaughter of JG. While he still is a terrible QB its a shame he has to play in constant fear.No. Read the article. The OL was only part of the problem. Sometimes it was RB's. So the part the OL can control... can get better but he'll still "get murdered" if he doesn't start "getting it".
He doesn't. The OL stank at run blocking all year but the pass protection got better later in the year. He looked worse while playing injured. I'm not saying they were "good"... only that I don't like that it is considered "sporting" to trash those particular Vols in order to avoid laying blame on JG (not you in that case but pretty common).I read the article. "The Vols deployed six-, seven- and eight-man protections with some frequency last season. It didn’t always help. Jarrett Guarantano was under heavy duress too often. It wasn’t always the offensive line’s fault. Sometimes those running backs and tight ends used in protection whiffed on their assignments. Guarantano needs to feel the pressure better, too."No. Read the article. The OL was only part of the problem. Sometimes it was RB's. You are a liar. I don't say that to offend you so much as a just a statement of your behavior. You first lie to yourself... then you filter everything else through that deception and judge others by it."The Vols deployed six-, seven- and eight-man protections with some frequency last season. "Needs to feel the pressure better too" is far from saying " some sacks are from an inability to read defense and make good decisions."
Of course you misrepresent what is written.
Feeling pressure is completely different from reading d and making decisions. He is good at those as evidenced by his rating and turnover numbers.
The article says what most same people say.
The line didn't block well. Then the backs and tight ends whiffed a bunch of times.
But JG could also sense rushers better.
So the line and blocking were the problem. But JG could feel pressure better.
Nothing about the b.s. you made up.
Your whole shtick is getting sadder and sadder. Just such obvious disdain for the qb of the team you claim to be a fan of.
