I'm so sick of these armchair Head Coaches in Game threads.. Antigua best defensive player in team and with him and Marin up the middle best SS and 2nd baseman combo at Tennessee in years.TWHS
You made a good point about that in the game thread. Ant and Marin may well have prevented one or more runs by playing outstanding defense -- in a one-run win.I'm so sick of these armchair Head Coaches in Game threads.. So what if he is hitting .214? Levi Clark hitting 173 and crickets about that...damn morons...
How did some of the players know it was immediately gone? Look at the Kent player at third, the second the ball made contact, he walked straight off, didn’t even turn around.
Clark slashed .289/.459/.594 last season as a true freshman. I think he has earned a little more leash than most players.I'm so sick of these armchair Head Coaches in Game threads.. I will justify it when you start talking trash about the players making errors like you did last season about Curley... You can take your stats and ram them up your ass. Defense matters in baseball just as much as offense..Clark slashed .289/.459/.594 last season as a true freshman. I think he has earned a little more leash than most players.
Antigua, now in his third season, is slashing .200/.308/.236 for his Tennessee career.
But yes, by all means try justifying keeping a career .236 slugger that has gotten on base 30% of the time in the lineup. Antigua has improved offensively but he was literally starting from rock bottom so whenever someone like that makes an improvement it seems drastic, whenever in actuality he is still just not a good bat in the lineup.
Dean Curley is no longer on the team and the defense is magically better. I’m not making personal attacks towards these guys because I’m sure majority of them are good people. I’m only talking about their ability to play baseball which is perfectly within my right. But if you want to be sensitive I’ll stop talking about the facts and only tell you what you want to hear so you can feel better.I will justify it when you start talking trash about the players making errors like you did last season about Curley... "Stats mean nothing unless you win"...
so now you can join the rest of the hero ball *******" in the game threads each game and brag about the errors that will happen with best defensive player in the dugout...
I hate ******* people....
