It’s really all about college football

Here are Alabama's sport-by-sport profits/losses for the 2024-25 fiscal year; football ($65 million) and men's basketball ($9 million) posted profits, while the largest losses were from women's basketball ($4.7M) and baseball ($4.5M).

TN only lost about $150K for baseball last year. That’s unreal in a sport that normally loses several million annually. They will be profitable for 2026 fiscal year (aided by Giants $3M buyout).

They've started leveling that part of the playing field.
Have they changed NIL rules for them? Have they changed military service requirements for them? Don’t they still have to wait until the summer of a high school athlete’s junior year before they can make first contact in recruiting? Service academies are at such a disadvantage compared to everyone else in sports that it’s not even funny. Why do you think I hate David Skenes so much? Dude literally transferred away from Air Force to sell his soul for a championship. He could have been exactly what he is today being a Cy Young winner staying at Air Force. I don’t care how many tours he does in support of the military, he turned his back on them for a bag at LSU, whenever a guaranteed bag was already waiting on him in MLB.
