As far as I’m concerned, the Lions just had the same season as the Titans. Neither made the playoffs so both are failures. Only difference is we will have a top 5 pick while the Lions will be middle 1st round

Two hours ago I had high hopes their defense would score me some fantasy points. They would have if the offense did not give the ball up 5 times. #shittyoffense=pushingcushions in post season

I thought they had an even better chance the year prior. They actually made the NFC Championship, up 24-10 in the 3rd quarter and inexplicably decided to go for fourth down whenever they could have kicked a FG to go up 27-10. Instead they don’t get it, the 49ers go down and score to make it 24-17, then Gibbs fumbles on the first play of the very next possession and the 49ers score again to make it 24-24. They also went for 4th down again in the 4th quarter whenever they could have attempted another FG. Ended up losing 34-31 while leaving 6 points on the field all because their coach is River Boat Dan.

Just busting balls @MAD. Lions have a great team, just didn’t pull it together. They should fire their defensive coordinator. Our armchair coaches in the football forum seem to believe that is the answer.

Ironically, Kyle Shanahan was the OC for the Falcons in that Super Bowl. Then he managed to blow 2 more Super Bowls vs the Chiefs. The only time he seemed to be on the positive side in a huge blown lead was that Lions game.

The only good news for the Lions is they should play an easy schedule next year being a last place team. The bad news is they are strapped with Goff’s contract until the 2028 offseason.
