I grew up around the corner from the Bates family. Bill was kind enough to throw ball with us boys in the yard a few times. We went to every FHS game, wearing our CBFO jerseys, and rooted him on.

His younger sister, Rachel, kicked out butts in about everything. Later played golf at USCe and in the LPGA. Super nice kids with super nice parents.

Now when I look up and 40-50 year old individuals storming the field it's hilarious.

Crazy that it was 44 years between Kobe’s 81 points and Wilt’s 100 points and now all the sudden we have seen four 70-point games in the past 2 seasons. And two of them have happened 4 days apart now. Nobody cares about defense.

I Googled, discontinued in 1976-77 .

Gymnastics is a phenomenal sport time to bring it back..

They would need to either drop a women’s sport or add another men’s sport in order to make it happen due to Title IX.
