1955- Charlie Puleo, some times calls UT home games.

Do you have books of some kind you go to to look this stuff up?
Shirley you don't recall things like this just off the top of your head.
1) Some stuff I remember off the top of my head, 2) other stuff I feel like I recall a name and look it up to make sure it is who I am thinking of. 3) Other times I am just curious and know very little about a player and look them up for the heck of it.

This was a mix between 2 and 3. I had heard Puleo’s name before but didn’t know much about him as a player. Ironically, I found him to be part of a trade that was the most Mets thing in the world. They reacquired an aging Tom Seaver from the Reds for 1 season in 1983, coming off his worst season as a professional the previous season.

Do the people who follow the Lady Vols think Kellie is going to survive much longer?
What’s crazy is that she still has an opportunity to have the best SEC record for the program since 2014-15. Hard to believe the program hasn’t made a Final 4 since 2007-08. She has won 3 NCAAT games over the past 2 seasons and got to the Sweet 16 last season but that’s not the standard unfortunately. That used to be considered a disappointing finish. The fans want Final 4’s and so far no coach has been able to accomplish that except Pat.

Hope everything goes well for you!

It did, I talked a lot about the amazing Las Vegas vacation, the Dream Cars calendar I bought this year, etc.

I’m very happy it’s February mainly because College Baseball starts soon, and because the Men’s March Madness isn’t far away, and the 2023 MLB regular season starts early April.

My Cubs have signed talented players in the rebuilding era after Baez, Rizzo, Bryant, etc.

So they’ve improved on paper, however I still need to see if it results in the desired achievable results which is a winning season, and the Cubs make the 2023 Playoffs.

Joining the conversation late here, but Kellie has got to go.
If we’re being completely honest she was an underwhelming hire to begin with. She had only won 1 regular season conference championship in her 15 seasons before coaching the Lady Vols. Yes she does have 4 conference tournament championships but those are always a crapshoot. We had an opportunity to go out and get an elite head coach and ended up with an average one. I don’t think Danny White will mess around in hiring the next one. It’s hard to be upset with a coach that has nearly a 70% winning percentage but it’s also hard to be happy whenever you are used to winning 85% of your games whenever Pat was coaching.

I’ll trust Donde and Danny White to make that call. If they discern the home run hire and decide to pull the trigger, I’m all in. If not available, I could see another year or two of Kellie. Make no mistake, the balance of this year and next are critical for the Lady Vol basketball program. 🧡

I almost forgot the obligatory YF gif…
