If we’re being completely honest she was an underwhelming hire to begin with. She had only won 1 regular season conference championship in her 15 seasons before coaching the Lady Vols. Yes she does have 4 conference tournament championships but those are always a crapshoot. We had an opportunity to go out and get an elite head coach and ended up with an average one. I don’t think Danny White will mess around in hiring the next one. It’s hard to be upset with a coach that has nearly a 70% winning percentage but it’s also hard to be happy whenever you are used to winning 85% of your games whenever Pat was coaching.
I agree with you on everything you said. I’m not convinced Danny White has proven himself by going outside the box with a big hire yet, this will be his chance. He fell into great hires with Vitello and Barnes with the last AD. Heupel was already his guy at his last job. In women’s soccer he made an underwhelming hire by promoting a long time assistant, they have taken a nosedive since.

Lisa Fortier out at Gonzaga might be a good one to target. She’s a younger coach that could potentially do good things with a talented roster. She’s won 80% overall and 86% within conference in her career. Won 6 out of 8 regular season conference championships and 3 tournament championships.

Is Kara Lawson the obvious replacement?
Me personally, I’d back up the Brinks truck into Becky Hammons’ driveway and make her tell me no.
We need someone that can compete with Staley and Geno.
Becky wants to be an NBA coach so I don’t think she would come. I would be alright with Lawson. She definitely cares about the program.

Here you go. This was one of the better articles I could find on her.

Mahomes is a really fun player to watch and I like Andy Reid(especially when he draws sharpie mustaches on his players) but I think I’m pulling for Hurts and the Eagles.

I’m with you Cobb, pulling for the Eagles too.

Edit: It took less than 5 minutes and Cobb already switched sides.

You know how they have those “House Divided” signs, usually for a married couple.
They need one called “Person Divided” just for you.
It would be much easier if the Dolphins, Mets and Braves would just win their respective championships EVERY year and then I wouldn’t be in these predicaments of having to root for other teams!
