Yep. 1990 right?
Yep. Vs, Pacific, coached by Walt Harris, former UT assistant who loved the WE screen to Anthony Miller.

Seem to recall Webb running right (towards the west sideline), spinning back left, outrunning defenders and turning the corner for a large gain, then popping up and limping off across the field.

That run made me so excited about his season, little did I know that run would end his season. Truly a bummer.

I remember Walt Harris well. Met him at least once at Big Orange events in Memphis when I was a kid. I would be the only kid in the bar.

I don’t know that any of those guys are hall of famers?
A-Rod except for PEDs…
Pettite has a case, I suppose.
I liked Andruw Jones, but if Murph ain’t in, he ain’t in.
Manny had a great career but I don’t think I can call him a hall of famer?
Same with Aubeu and Beltran.
There are worse pitchers than King Felix in the Hall. There were two seasons he finished 2nd in Cy Young voting due to the winners having incredibly great seasons, otherwise he would be viewed in the upper echelon of pitchers imo. Manny would be a first ballot HOF if he had never been associated with PEDs. Batted .312 with 555 HR, nearly 1.000 OPS, 12 all stars, 9 silver sluggers, WS MVP, several top 5 MVP seasons. Yeah that’s a sure fire HOF but he doped up. Same for A-Rod. Abreu and Beltran are in the Hall of Very Good imo.

My favorite Beltran highlight.

He was also one of the ring leaders of the Trashstros scandal so it’s a slap in the face to all baseball fans to even have him listed as a candidate. He should be banned from the sport.
The Giants traded Zack Wheeler when he was a prospect to the Mets to rent Beltran for a couple of months.

Did not work out well for the Giants.

Giants won 3 World Series around the years of that deal so I’m sure it doesn’t even cross their mind lol
You don’t have to remind me. I was at the NLCS games in SF in ‘12 and ‘14 when the Giants eliminated the Cardinals.

I was also at most of the postseason games in SF in 2010. Those were fun.

And yeah, they talked about that Wheeler trade for a long time.

Ryan Braun is probably close...
