I still hate the fact umpires are forced to rotate. You don’t ask all the players to constantly change positions so why put umpires in that situation. That’s why we are about to get the ABS. Not all umpires are good at calling balls and strikes but the majority of them are good in the field.

That’s kind of odd for a franchise that’s only ever made 1 World Series and never actually won. And only won 6 division titles in their entire history. I didn’t realize they were hated that much

I say just make the best ones permanent home plate umpires and up their pay. The rest can remain in the field. But they are stuck in their ways so I will gladly let the robots call balls and strikes.

Cal Raleigh joins Ken Griffey Jr as the only Mariners to hit 45 home runs in a season. He also tied Johnny Bench for 2nd most HR by a catcher in a single season. He only trails Salvador Perez’s record of 48, which he should easily clear if he stays healthy.
