Very Soviet. You can hear the long pause of dead air while she is being told that she is not allowed to say what she just said and to apologize. The others can hear it too, most likely, so they all listen. And she obeys.

The worst part is what she had said was specifically that the ability for people to hold and speak differing opinions that’s what makes America great.

That’s a very common expression about free speech and has been as long as I can remember.

Worse than the officiating in its own way.

She was not allowed to say that people are allowed to have and speak their own opinions. Free speech. She had just disagreed with another announcer about call in the game very peaceably and amicably.
