I’m not a big “fan” of Too too but root for him in the context of the Texans’ defense. Same as any other Bama linebacker. Once a player has left one level of competition for the next, I allow that transition to occur without holding a grudge. There are exceptions and Toot is probably the closest to a little feeling of ill will on my part, but he is a Texan.MAD, there are less harsh ways to state that.Anyway, most Vols fans I know root for those players wherever they go, so long it is not to a rival school and they are not playing us.
There was also the special case of football players like Eric Gray who were forced to transfer after dumb-dumb dumb-dumbed (thankfully!). I rooted for them all -- except the backstabber and trash cheap-shot artist and crybaby Toot. I still root against Toot if I ever happen to see him play. (Sorry @chuckiepoo)
Derrick Henry was my favorite player in the league whenever he was with the Titans. Heck I still root for his success. Professional sports have little to do with collegiate sports imo. There are people who watch NFL that have zero interest in college football and vice versa. A lot of NFL fans couldn’t tell you where the majority of their players went to college.I’m not a big “fan” of Too too but root for him in the context of the Texans’ defense. Same as any other Bama linebacker. Once a player has left one level of competition for the next, I allow that transition to occur without holding a grudge. 100% Money talks. QB Sellers from USCjr was offered $8M to leave and his father told him to stay. I’m sure he ended up getting a raise anyways. It always helps to have great parents that know how to keep their kids grounded and not always chasing after the money. Yeah someone is always willing to pay more but will you be happier on the court/field in that new situation? The money is always greener but the grass may not be…I will say that the baseball mercenaries would come closer to being a rental VFL than both football and basketball. The Baseball NIL isn't anything compared to the other two... Players in those two sports are coming for the big NIL deals. I read that Nate Ament loves CRB but I'm sure that 2 to 3 million dollar NIL deal for one season was a huge factor as well.
I know and understand. That's why I said "sorry." I can't think of any other player I feel that way about. And a Texans fan is certainly not obligated to hate their own player!I’m not a big “fan” of Too too but root for him in the context of the Texans’ defense. Same as any other Bama linebacker. Yes. I generally check the by line and date before reading an article. @ArdentVol had replied to that article earlier today so I went back and reread it prior to upvoting. See post #142,238.He posted that over a month ago![]()
