Found this nugget interesting from the athletic:


If this is about Vrabel being disillusioned with the way things have gone, well, the best type of leadership in that situation is to look within and ask why. Of course, Vrabel and the Titans did get thumped 26-3 at Houston on Dec. 31, helping the Texans go on to the AFC South title and the unofficial but clear claim as the team with the best future in this division. The Adams family, as anyone who knows the Adams family can tell you, does not take kindly to embarrassment in their hometown.

Just ask Bobby April, the Titans’ special teams coach in 2016, who was fired a day after a Texans punt return beat the Titans in Houston. Head coach Mike Mularkey, one of April’s best friends, officially fired him and answered for it at his news conference.

Guarantee you the GM will hire someone from within the 49ers organization since that is where he came from. Coaching in the NFL is more than X’s and O’s though. Vrabel is one of the handful of coaches that gets the most out of his team compared to the talent on his roster. Anybody the Titans hire will not be better than Vrabel. They are going to regret this firing big time.

Gloves are one thing but those uniforms were clearly copying the Oilers and everyone knows it. It was the NFL that had sent the cease and desist letter, not the Titans. Doubt Houston wants to get into a pissing contest with the NFL. Idk why everyone gets so sensitive on this issue anyways. So I guess the Colts should have changed their name and uniforms after leaving Baltimore, or the Rams should have changed whenever they went to St Louis, or the Raiders should change all because they relocate to Vegas? Relocation has happened throughout professional sports history and is nothing new. Those organizations and the NFL own the rights to their history. Doesn’t matter where the organization is located, they own the uniforms.

Actually, the Texans are adding a Houston blue accent to their uniform next year. A couple of pixels off the original Columbia blue, but close enough, and far enough off that the NFL won’t do squat.

I guess we will have to see what they come up with but I can’t imagine the NFL allowing them to have a similar uniform to what the Oilers had. They want teams to stand out from one another and if they look too similar they will probably tell them to make some changes.

From what I understand, the logo remains the same and the general color scheme remains the same.
