OldTimer’s Dugout - Off Topic Thread

KGJ is in the great athlete league of great athletes that don’t have a championship in a team sport.
Others in this league are Sammy Sosa, Dan Marino, Kerry Wood, Tony Gonzalez, Jim Kelly, Penny Hardaway, Eddie George, Steve McNair, etc.

I’ll never forget the commercials Ken Griffey Jr had as himself in that great SNES KGJ MLB video game which I did play.

Need to know… will the model in the Bammer checkerboard overalls be rooting for the Czechs? I mean, she’s from Croatia, but isn’t that close enough? View attachment 539803

Wow she is a stunner, and I’m stunned when a busty woman wears a low cut strapless dress mainly because from what I see the busty woman doesn’t wear a bra, and I assume the strapless dress is designed for a wardrobe malfunction to be avoided otherwise it’s a huge gamble wearing an item item that doesn’t have the advantage of a corset which a stacked babe won’t have to worry about having a wardrobe malfunction.

No question of the day.

Instead, post what you think would be the perfect walk up song for anybody that posts here in the dugout thread.
Above is an example for @OldTimer from yesterday

Make it fun.

The amazing Rock and Roll song God Gave Rock and Roll To You by Kiss.

It’s a fast moving Rock and Roll song with encouraging lyrics, and will always be remembered as the final song for the incredible sequel Bill and Ted’s Bogus Journey.

I’m very stunned because the Sharks had a great victory to defeat a good Jets team in overtime.
In what was a competitive entertaining the Sharks an infamous choking team played competent great Hockey since they found a way to defeat a talented good Jets team instead of finding a way to sink by snatching defeat from the jaws of victory which they’ve repeatedly done this season with the leads they’ve blown.

My rebuilding Blackhawks look like Stanley Cup contenders when they made a good Senators team their pawn’s because they outplayed them since they shut them out 5-0 In Chicago.

A topnotch impressive win for a Blackhawks team that is prospering after trading their best player to the Rangers, and trading a young gun talented player to the Dallas Stars.

My Flames defeated my Stars 4-3. The Flames are on the outside looking in so they’ll need to win most of their remaining games to make the 2023 NHL Playoffs as a Wild Card team.
I do not think anyone will beat the Bruins this year. Not saying it can not happen but they are absolutely stacked top to bottom.

On March 7 in Baseball History...
  • 1903 - In the first trade under the A.L./N.L. peace treaty, the Giants send their 1902 part-time manager Heinie Smith to Detroit for second baseman Kid Gleason, who is immediately moved to Philadelphia, where he will end a 20-year playing career.

  • 1923 - The New England American Legion appeals to Commissioner Kenesaw Mountain Landis to discontinue morning games on Memorial Day. The request is turned down.

  • 1924 - Reds manager Pat Moran dies of Bright's Disease and is replaced within minutes by coach Jack Hendricks. Moran had become ill on March 1 on a train to spring training in Orlando, Florida, but did not see a physician for three days. By then, his liver and kidneys had all but ceased to function.

  • 1979 - The Special Veterans Committee selects Warren Giles and slugger Hack Wilson for the Hall of Fame. Wilson was a .307 lifetime hitter in a troubled 12-year career, but he had one of the greatest seasons of all time for the Cubs in 1930 with 56 home runs, 190 RBIs, a .356 batting average, and a .723 slugging percentage. Giles was N.L. president from 1951 to 1969.
