MLB does the same thing, that's why I brought them up. Unless I'm mistaken, the ghost runner rule is not used in the post seasonMLB extra inning rules are awful. Creates an unfair advantage for the hitting team and it skews stats due to there being a runner already in scoring position that didn’t earn that base. Anyone that has ever played baseball hates that rule. It’s not real baseball. NFL OT rules never made sense because you go through a 17 game schedule with one set of rules but they completely change all because they are in the postseason. Doesn’t seem fair to teams to have two completely different sets of rules for regular season vs postseason.
