I don't get it. We already have 18 wins ! 16-14 regular season + 2 tournament wins 18-14 already. That's definitely a regional host . Now if we win the championship we're getting a super regional at home. GBO

I just don’t see it happening. think the ceiling is somewhere in that 10-14 range if we win the tournament. Beat Vanderbilt and we’re guaranteed a regional host. Maybe they give us preferential treatment based on past success but I’ll believe it whenever I see it.

I really don’t give a damn what other people say. I’m just pointing out that Texas has come in a run the best conference in America in Year 1 and people want to act like that’s not impressive. If we were doing this again this year we would be beating our drum about #EverythingSchool. Can’t be a double standard for whenever someone else does it.

Anyone with half a brain realizes what Texas is doing, which is probably why so many really wanted that win yesterday.

It’s ok though, they are not that far ahead of us and I will continue to hate on Texas and beat the “Tennessee is an everything school” drum, because I don’t give a damn what anyone else says either.

When we won the SEC regular season way back in … checks notes … last year, we won the SEC tournament, too. Your ut jr heifers couldn’t match that mark.

They don’t have to match that mark. The SECT was double elimination last year and we did lose our first game vs Vanderbilt so you are comparing apples to oranges.

You are correct. That may have been their point. I forgot the tournament wins. They went on to say that the Vols beat the #4 RPI and most likely #1 seed team at a neutral site.
So they were predicting that we would be hosting.

Based on past success . Wait this success is right now. You win this tournament you've done more than anyone in the nation. Damn this tournament has more talent than the rest of the nation on one field. If winning this tournament doesn't carry the most weight tell me where that is please.

We will just have to see what the selection committee does but based on history these committees in all sports don’t put a lot of stock into these tournaments other than the automatic bid being gifted to the champion. We’ve seen it time and time again with the basketball tournament. Baseball hasn’t been any different.

We — the real UT — don’t make the tourney rules, bruh, just like we didn’t put 3 games with softy Mizzou on the schedule of Bevo-and-the-asshats. We didn’t even want them and the Okies in our conference. The only thing left up to us was to beat them head to head, which we did. 7-5. Suck it.

We’ve been getting Missouri every year so we were bound to miss them at some point. They also swept us in 2023 if you don’t remember. There are no easy schedules in the conference. SEC is notorious for giving the national champions an even more difficult schedule the following year so idk what everyone expected. People have short memories it seems.

I actually did want Texas and Oklahoma in the conference because they actually add value. A&M and Missouri were the ones we didn’t want. It was like asking for Jordan’s for Christmas and whenever you opened your present they were Shaq’s.
