Oklahoma State's Mike Gundy interviewed by Currie

I’m all in for Gundy. Offer him $15 million a year if that is what it takes...it’s mostly Haslam’s money anyway. I want him to keep the mullet too.

If we're going with another conference coach, I'd like to see Scott Frost as head coach and Tee Martin as OC. Both are great recruiters.
But Currie really should be replaced by Phil Fulmer.
Too bad Peyton Manning and Gruden not coming. They would make a great set of coaches.

Sources told me Mike Gundy notified Oklahoma State officials, as required by his contract, of his intention to speak with Tennessee about Vols’ job. That meeting scheduled today in Dallas.

This is a waste of time and effort. He probably is just looking for a raise at OSU and besides that he's not that great of a coach. Brent Venables, Lane Kiffin and then Norvell as a last resort.

Because Tennessee.
Is there any hope to fix the source of our problems...weak administration support now for the football program? In my mind, it is how we have gotten to the bottom. This seems to extend down from the BOT thru the Chancellor.

Coach Fulmer and others remember Bob Woodruff, Doug Dickey, and the support that came from senior administration. THAT IS WHAT WE NEED AGAIN, but I don't know how to get there.

The program has been frittered away by thinking it would just fly on autopilot (and on only one engine).

Just curious. What's the deal with Bob Stoops? Has anyone even reached out to him? Plays SEC style = tough Defense and effective run game. Have we made him say no????

Gundy is a proven winner and current head coach at a power 5 school. Plus, he has a mullet and is famous for the "I'm an man!" speech. Would be a good fit and a great hire, IMO.

As much as I don't believe this will happen, I totally agree in that he would be a good fit here. :hi:

Norvell allegedly turned us down, and he’s not near proven enough to make an offer he can’t refuse.

Please let this happen. Multiple 10 win seasons. Has a 4000 yard passer, two 1000 yard wrs, and a 1000 yrd rb all in the same season. If you want downfield passing this is about the only coach that throws a lot of deep balls successfully.

Could you imagine us doing that?!! It’d be nice.

One OSU message board is already mulling over possible coaching replacements. They don't seem to be to upset that he is leaving. Just judging by the one thread, a lot of them are ready for a new coach.

He’s done with football he said.

However, there are fans that don't want to see him go.
