Pure speculation, but I’d say the size of their school and their programs are a lot smaller, so they don’t have to cover as much.

For example, if I’m A&M and you give me a $100, I have a huge budget I have to cover with that $100. But if I’m TTU, I don’t have to spread that $100 around as much and can put more of the money in certain spots.

I watched Miami a lot and hes good. Not sure how that translates to the SEC but hes talented players and great pass rushers have came out of the MAC before.

The following is Texas Tech mod speculation. They prefer Wendell Gregory, so they are holding off on taking Trick's commitment. They are also the favorite to land Steven Soles. The mods don't think they can land all 3, so they are holding off on taking Trick until they get an answer from Gregory.
