I'm not usually one to gripe about officiating. With that said, the end of the UK - Miss St game seems to confirm that the state of officiating these days is anything but impartial. What was an obvious lane violation by Thomas while Meeks was getting the ball for the second shot wasn't going to be called. At least not until Coach Stansbury threw (rightfully so) a fit.
Last night, Davis was wholly ineffective in the first half. In the second half he started getting calls for (and never against) him and ended up being the high scorer for LSU.
My question is this....take the UT-LSU game out of the equation (for a clear head)....is the officiating just bad, or, is there a reason behind the poor calls/non-calls?
