so to the people freaking out, what did you think this summer when you heard we had serious depth problems at alot of positions. we need to stop calling for peoples heads 6 games into the season. I want them to win too , but some of the expectations put on this team and coaching staff is just unrealistic. plus if we lost Hughes that means we have 0 true D tackles. you can't win without good tackles in the SEC.

We've had substitution issues 3 weeks in a row. That's on the coaches. We got problems.

Hunter was a verbal to LSU when Kiffin left.

I was at the Chik Fil-A bowl and Kiffin didn't exactly knock my socks off with his ability to coach us up there. I don't claim to know what the answer is, but I just don't think we would be significantly better this year with him here.

There's little doubt that this team is not as talented as last year's. But, (and there's no real way to prove this), I feel rather confident that the just utterly stupid mistakes that this team is making would be vastly reduced under Kiffin. We were incredibly disciplined last year.

Exactly... Kiffy was very overrated last year. Give Dooley and this staff Berry, Williams, Hardesty, McClendon, Scott, Richards, Wes Brown, Rogan, and McCoy and they win 8 games last year.

Because their gameday coaching skills have blown Kiffin and his staff's out of the water. lol:

Defense needs to step up. Last week defense played good, offense put points on the board. Special teams needs to play it safe. Backs and recievers need to hold on to the ball. O-line needs to block and let Matt Simms/Justin Hunter/Tauren poole do their thing.

It's obvious that he sucks at coaching. He can recruit, but dooley is a better coach, IMO. what does everybody else think? someone please back me up on this one. Agree 100% Kiffin is a clown...Dooley will have this program headed in the right direction in 2 years.

He was the only guy who looked at our schedule, our players, the timing (recruiting-wise) and our AD and said "Cool!! I'm in!" Everyone else we contacted couldn't say NO!! fast enough. It's just gonna take a couple of years folks.... Endure the pain and Dooley will pay off in the end. I really believe that.

I genuinely believe in Dooley's work ethic and passion. However, you can't make a salad out of cow pies; he needs to learn how to recruit. I'm not buying into this "building with character" stuff.

no, i'm just a true fan period. i love my vols through good and bad. I just can't stand some people on here STILL talkin about kiffin. He wouldn't have done any better with this team. We currently suck azz rite now. everybody knows that. Plus if he was still here, we'd proly allready be on probation or even worse. If we had satan we'd still be struggling. CDD is not God, he can't make something out of nothing.

Have you seen how undisciplined USC is this year? Go look at where they rank in penalty yards. So did he become an undisciplined coach this year? He had a senior-laden team last year that's why it was disciplined.

Lack of talent, which is a result of terrible recruiting and evaluations by Pete in his last few years. Brian Cushing, Rey Maualuga, and Keith Rivers aren't suiting up for the Cardinal and Gold any longer.
